So... Why Ireland?

An interview with Jim Jones, TG&A International's Sales Representative in the United States.

Q So Jim, you've been to Ireland many times. Can you tell us about some of your favourite places?

A "Well, not that many times - and always on really fast-paced site inspection trips. My last visit was at a much slower pace allowing for a more in-depth visit. Killarney was a perfect starting point - just the right pace to get us acquainted and feel comfortable driving. Leisurely drives on the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula were highlights. And I love cities, so I really enjoyed the time in Dublin - great shopping, wonderful restaurants, and so easy to navigate. But perhaps the best of all was the time at the manor house. Mount Juliet Estate - sitting in 1,500 acres of a horse stud farm - was bliss and picture postcard pretty."

Q What makes Ireland such a great destination for incentive groups?

A "The two things: the Irish people and everything works."

Q If you could change one thing about Ireland, what would that be?

A "Kissing the Blarney Stone - it's a tourist trap and the pushy on-site photographer was the only rude person on my entire trip. She'll ruin your photo op in hopes of selling her overpriced picture."

Q Finally, for anyone thinking of bringing a group to Ireland, what would your advice be to them?

A "Ireland's a sizzling hot destination; there's lots of demand created by groups from all over the world. So plan ahead to be sure to get the best accommodations and group venues. Include both city and country time - it's a winning combination. TG&A International is brimming with ideas. Tap their resources and creativity to produce a once-in-a-lifetime visit for your group and avoid "cookie cutter" proposals."
